Indeed. They follow the same "HRTF" target. But Illumination is equipped with more acoustic tricks and a bigger DD w/ fancier materials, so on paper the final result I'd expected to be much better, even though I think it's a bit overpriced at $700-750.

Oh for sure, the Illumination is in a whole different class compared to the SSR. It's just interesting given the somewhat controversial reception that the SSR received (I quite like mine)

Omg i think it is exactly what i want. I finalized my kxxs "tuning" with a strip of alcohol screen wiper with ~ 9.5x3mm and added the grill again. I think it also is an noobish approach to dampen the resonances moondrop speaks above.

After purchasing it I realized there is a size for both DAP and iems. Luckily I also bought the Hiby R5 leather case

However after putting SR15 in miter leather case. It worth for in the case >< so now I just have the Z1R on top. Keep SR15 in a case similiar to hard disk zipping case
