DA, it not overly warm. My Cary is definitely warmer with a more colored character than the Moon. However, I do not find the Moon to be clinical. It has fantastic character.

To current Neo 430 owners,

Please try your best to answer my question.

Let us assume that a tube amp warmth level is 8/10 on the warmth scale, how do u rate the Neo 430 out of 10 on the same warmth scale?

I hawked that the 430 is slightly warm, which is good but I am really couroius to know how warm.

This is slightly off topic, but if it is like my Simaudio Moon LP 300 phono pre-amp, then it is very close to neutral, perhaps very slightly leaning to a very subtle warmth.

I like slightly warm SS amp, this is to balance bright phones.

Also I think that LCD3 with Fazor will benefit from extra warmth. The new LCD3 are not warm like before. This is why I need slightly warm SS amp.

The LCD-3f's sounded as good as I have heard them with the 430. I only listed to them for 1/2 hour for so but it was the best the 3's had sounded to me.

I am happy that you liked the LCD3 razor + 430 combo.
My only concern is the mids, I noticed that the LCD3 fazor somehow lacking of full-body mids!

Honestly I am driving my LCD3 directly from my Macbook (I know this is WRONG) but my Amp (HA-1) is with my friend

I can't wait for the 430 to arrive

I would blame the mids on the MB not the LCD-3's. They need a proper amp and DAC. Get yourself a Geek Out 1000 for now!

Could we get vs Rag and, say, First Watt as well. Considering the price there are interesting contenders.

You Guru's should be able to put a massive comparison together. Too many choices, always a good thing.

The only challenge is that we are literally spread out across three continents. The Guru meet is hard to pull off!

To the best of my understanding, it has to do with the earth's energy fields and the warping of the conduction portals. Long short, bad mojo.
