Recently contacted Drew regarding the selection of a headphone (I was considering 3 models). Drew assisted me thoroughly evaluating my needs type of music, equipment, headphones I already own. The order was processed and shipped promptly (with 24 hrs) including installing a replacement cable on the new headphones. It is a pleasure doing business with Drew (Moon Audio) I highly recommend them.

Drew's done it again with brilliant customer service. I picked up a pair of Audio Technica ATH-W3000ANVs from him and my experience (again) was outstanding. He literally shipped them within an hour of receiving payment. I got them less than 24 hours later here in Canada.

Another great transaction.

Hi, I send my new Beyer T70 to Drew asking for a rewire with Blue Dragon V3 & furutech conector;
It has been a long wait as I live in Spain , but today they are here ... The sound has fully changed from "Good" to "The Best" ...
It is money well spent , more details in every song, more body, clear highs & full body ... a pleasure to work with Drew ... Moon Audio is the best for Music

Thanks

I guess this is still the right place to post feedbacks!

Mine will be very positive. Drew accepted to redo his job when I decided I wanted to use my own interconnects, I'm very thankful of this!

I asked for a retermination of my SR325 (with HP1000 drivers, so it's quite a rare headphone he manipulated gently) to a custom Neutrik (silver contacts, colors bushings) four pins XLR, and wanted to have the matching adapter made in Black Dragon cable and terminated by a straight Oyaide 3.5 mm plug. His workmanship is outstanding. I have a Black Dragon logo right in the middle of my adapter (looks on purpose!). The heatshrink on my 3.5 mm plug is very well cut, beginning just at the right spot, and finishing by creeping on the cable just a little, enough to function as an angling strain relief.

(See... when I told you this was well cut and done) (he could have let it on bare plug but he did a protective strain relief instead and I really prefer this practical decision)

With an arrow pointing the flow direction of the music, love that details. It's like on my Grado Ultra-Wide Bandwidth interconnect cables.

Black Dragon cable feels great, it's perfectly round, just the right size (diameter) and in a deep and glossy blacker black. The polished finish does look very durable, feels solid in your hands (there's a substantial weigh to it, which I really like), and allows the cable to slide well against other cables and things on a crowded desk. This thing will never tangle, even though it quite flexible, and overall I think I prefer this solution to an hand-braided and sheathed cable.

My order was a bit weird because I wanted different color bushings for my two plugs, he did exactly as I asked him. Communication was very good, but he didn't reply instantly all the time, lol, but that is to be expected actually (no one is 100% of his time in front of a computer, understandably).

I bought a Grado HP-1 and to my dismay, it has been reterminated in a very ugly way (just the soldered contacts to a gold quarter inch plug, wrapped in two heatshrinks, no real plug what so ever)... I would definitely ask Drew again for a re-termination to be made, with silver solder and awesome Deoxit spray for protection and longevity (but I'll wait for a plug company like Oyaide or Furutech to wake up and release a darn four pins XLR option, because I want a shiny plug for a shiny headphone).

(Looking very good! super shiny and flat)

Mating

Overall great experience! Two packages were shipped to me on that day on Drew's is the first to have reached me! Thank you very much, satisfied customer.

Oh yeah and my Black Dragon adapter SOUNDS AWESOME, lol.

Just bought a Fostex HP-P1 from Drew.  He was helpful and worked with me to get it out quickly even though i had some challenges getting him all of the correct purchase and shipping information.  Nice to have someone who will work with you.  Thanks Drew.

I recently purchased an Eximus DP-1 and before that, a fostex HP-P1.  Both were smooth transactions.  Drew always responds quickly to any questions that I have; he's a pleasure to deal with.

That's it, my Grado HP1 has been reterminated by Drew at Moon Audio. He did a fantastic, perfect job!

My Neutrik X-HD, which he had in stock, sounds and looks (especially on the HP-1000) AWESOME!

Thank you Moon Audio! That's my second deal with you and feedback here, and certainly not my last.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this but...
I'm trying to order some plugs from the website, buts its been kind of slow and I'm unable to add the items to my cart.
I was wondering if this was a common problem or is it just me.

Drew has been a pleasure to deal with. I have purchased several DACs, tube upgrades, headphones-LCD3/Beyer/Senn's, numerous cables,  V-MODA Crossfade M80, black Dragon coax cables,Halide Design Bridge, balanced connectors, V2and V3 cable mods for several headphones and any number of connectors and adapters. In every single case Drews knowledge, courtesy and service has been exceptional! I highly recommend him to all audiophiles. The finish work on their cables, Mods, and repairs is excellent. The packing and shipping of delicate electronics is perfect. Their service is excellent too! And Drew always makes himself available to all. A++++++++++ vendor!

I had a very bad experience dealing with Moon Audio today. I got my offer accepted for this item http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380459797296&ssPageName=ADME:B:BOC:US:1123.  The shipping fee is supposed to be free as was listed and there was no single line indicates that there will be a shipping fee is not using "buy it now". However, they went a head and give me an invoice with the shipping fee of $10. I feel offensive as this is so dishonest and unprofessional. Am I suppose to pay them whatever amount of shipping fee that they like to? Sorry but I don't think I will ever do business with you again. Never.

I had one experience with them.

I called them last summer to discuss headphones and associated equipment (amps, DACs, amplifiers). This was at the beginning of my recent headphone gear outfitting. I saw their website. I saw people speaking positively about them on Headfi and other sites. I wanted advice and was looking to develop a relationship with a knowledgeable retailer.

I spoke with someone who was very direct and short with me. We spoke about 1 to 2 minutes. There was no real dialogue nor interest in understanding my needs. Our conversation was either ended because we were disconnected or they hung up on me to answer another line. It left me with a less than stellar impression of them. It honestly was their loss. I have purchased $6,000-$7,000 in headphone gear since that conversation. Perhaps my experience was atypical, I know that they have a major following, but getting hung up on after short disinterested conversation left me feeling badly.

In contrast, experiences with The Cableco, HeadRoom and Sweetwater have been nothing but positive. All with helpful knowledgeable sales staff.

My $.02

Each time I sit in a restaurant with Miles, Beck or Beethoven playing in the middle of my brain thanks to my Shure ES425s I say a silent THANK YOU To Drew and Moon Audio. I wrote an extensive review (http://www.moon-audio.com/shure-se425.html ) for these magical earphones. This post is about Drew, Nichole and Moon Audio.

It is possible to get a little crazy with high end audio. I know because I went a little nuts for a little bit after getting some tough news (VPI turntable, KEFs, B&K amps). Sounded great, but I couldn't afford it (not even a little LOL). I was chasing my tail too something Drew would never allow.

Drew is brilliant, honest and Moon Audio is HIS family's business. He and Nichole and their team are all in. Moon Audio is their passion, love and commitment. I know Drew pretty well now and money means almost nothing to him. Drew is about the SOUND and about helping others find or get close to what he loves so much. Moon Audio is his life's work and he and Nichole are good at it.

I read a review that called Drew a "poet warrior" and that is a perfect description. Drew shares, shares and shares some more. Drew and Nichole are special. They are where they want to be doing what they love. The advantages for US are massive. We get an audio doctor we can trust.

A genius who will tell us the truth even if it means he makes a few dollars less. Read Moon Audio's reviews and you see evidence of the love, passion and care I've experienced. Some people can get their nose out of joint, but they don't live HERE (Raleigh/Cary). I do. I know Drew, Nichole and Moon Audio. I trust them and will never buy anything they sell from anyone else again (period, full stop).

When you are all in, when the mortgage, your 401k and daughter's college is being bet on your love of something, on your belief in THE SOUND, you approach business differently. Drew is driven by a desire to SHARE his love. Separation between LIFE, WORK and ART is zero. I've been there too putting up my 401k (and those are HARD checks to write). I was proud of how our company (FoundObjects.com now RIP) LOVED our customers.

We shared and cared. We were rookies compared to Drew, Nichole and Moon Audio. Yes you can buy anything anywhere now, but I prefer to work with and buy from artists, to work with people who LOVE what they do and have the courage to bet everything on that love.

What about you? You in?
