I currently have Monster Turbine but im looking to upgrade.

I was wondering how much better the Westone 2's are then the Monster Turbines.

I listen to Techno, Trance, progressive and house music. Therefore I would need good bass and treble.

Also are the Westone 2's good for working out?

If you have any other Suggestions, please.

My budget is $250

Thanks

P.S: Im new to Head Fi, this is my first thread.

Why don't you buy a pair of MTPG at onecall? You can get them for a cool $180 and I feel they would meet what you're looking for pretty well

westone 2 has isolation over the turbine, other than that, from your preferences, you are better with moving up to the turbine gold. westone 2 doesn't have the bass quantity for those genres u mentioned, they are balanced and even throughout the spectrum, not as "fun" sounding as the turbines.

I feel that you would be able to work out easily with the MTPG, but, if you really want more recommendations, so be it

. I can recommend the Hippo VB, Panny HJE900, MTPC (like the MTPG with more detail and a little less bass), and TF10. I have the TF10 and find the bass is very, very good with all genres of music and you can find them for ~$160 or lower on the FS forums. IMO I think you should go for the MTPG as the fit is good and the sound is what you're looking for for your music preferences.

The TF10 are also no good for working out...The new Shure 215 might be worth look at too!

I don't have any experience with the Westone UM2, but I don't think it has very "deep" bass. That shouldn't be an issue if you look at the Westone UM3 which are said to have quite a bit of bass, but fall outside your price, but not by much.

I think the Westone um3 would be a bit to much. Earphone Solutions says the westone 3 are for techno? Could that be right? They are also to expensive. I think ill look more into the UM2. I really dont want another monster product i want to expirience something different.
