get the hippocase.
its cheap and quite durable

Really?  $40 for a cloth case w/ a Zipper compared to $45 on amazon for a 1300 w/ a lifetime guarantee, thats waterproof and mil-spec rated w/ snap hinges, pressure release valve and lock holes?  The Hippocase is a toy.  To each their own.

+1 for pelican, LIKE A ROCK, affordable, durable, lifetime warranty, quit screwing around with toys and buy the last case you'll ever need.

I am intrigued by this Pelican Case.  I had heard about it in the past, as applicable to storage and transportation of DSLR camera bodies and lens kit, as well as for laptops in field use (i.e. Panasonic Toughbooks etc.).  But I didn't know they made them for smaller items with the customizable foam.  Guess I'm out of the loop.

Same size for an HD 650?  Or would a 1200 suffice?

Edit: Curse you, Head-Fi.  Making me spend my money like this.

Lifetime warranty, buoyancy ratings, pressure release valves, done.  My old laptop case got cracked by a tank in Iraq but it saved the laptop and got replaced for free when I got back.  That's protection.  I don't screw around when it comes to my gear and it sounds like you don't either.

I may have to get one.
