The point is you can just wait a few days and see before jumping on it blindly.

Like by next week this time, there will be plenty of impressions and reviews on them from people here rather than the nothing that exists on them now.

Exactly,

I'm very hopeful they're good but I'm fully expecting to end up with LCD-2's at some point instead.

The M560's measurements were really disappointing. I am hopeful for the M1060, though.

Hoping that someone will disassemble them and compare the drivers/magnet array to the LCD-2.

That's my same reaction to this. I mean, it's $300, which can get you a lot of other high quality, proven headphones. I'm sure they will be good if they're a full sized open planar magnetic can, but I want to at least get some reviews and impressions before I would buy a pair. There is legit like no reviews on these from anyone.

I think the nice thing is they offer the money back option for whatever reason, so people pulling the trigger don't have much to lose.

I'm hoping they will be awesome too, just like everyone else, however let's wait and see and get an idea of their sound signature first before throwing money at it.

Yup! The return policy, warranty, & specs make them a low risk purchase. Somebody has to go first to give y'all a review! Also, tariffs may be imposed on Chinese anything's some day. Life is a crap shoot. As far as sound signature, only my ears; my music; my interpretation; and source amp will be the final say so.
Sometimes you have to take a chance!

The build quality seems decent though not great.  it looks like the pads are glued on...

I will listen to them now and post some impressions of the sound as compared to my other planar magnetics.

I don't get it... all of you are buying the M1060 because they LOOK like they sound good?

There's fun in being the first kid on the block with new toys... something new that hasn't been beaten to death as far as discussion or review. It's not just with headphones, but you see this in all areas... home theater equipment, speakers, computers, cars, motorcycles, you name it. When there's buzz about something, being on the cutting edge is lots of fun... although you can also pay the price as far as beta features, firmware updates, things needing to be fixed, etc.

In this case there's the added allure of auditioning cans that might (and I repeat MIGHT) play outside of their price tier. Potential bang for the buck.

As long as there is a no questions asked return policy and all you're out is 2-way shipping, if you have the means then why not?
