According to Hifimanz on Reddit, the new 2.5mm cable is 6 feet long instead of 4 feet long for the old mmcx cable.
 
Apparently there's a brown oily substance that's dry inside the wood cups. It seems that they did treat the wood.

Well that's a step in the right direction at least. 8' to 9' would have been better.

Where is everyone finding details on changes if the employees themselves don't know?
 
They've shipped mine but I asked them to cancel the order if they hadn't made revisions to the new batch..
Feeling less hopeful, but I guess we'll see.

I've noticed some people saying what they think has been fixed and what not without source.
I don't believe everything I read on the internet unless there's proof, the pictures helped that were linked on IMGUR.
 
Hopefully my unit is one of them, also uneasy about the fact I might be getting a refurbish of someone elses with the changes.

Yeah, looks like that's my only option right now as well, since Sales has explicitly replied that they're not shipping to Romania directly due to lack of demand. Back to the waiting game then. Just hope eBay is better at sending stock notifications.

Just as a data point. I think I may have gotten the last set Friday. I went back immediately to add a second pair and they were gone. I used PayPal. I just got a shipping confirmation.
I really wonder about the variability in people's experiences trying to get these things ordered.

I have a hard time getting over the fact that this sound is YouTube quality, which means it is a recording of the highest order.
