I don’t know why, but I am super happy to see @Nayparm joining us here on Walkman platforms. Perhaps it is his excellent craftsmanship and skills that always keep me looking at his works and pictures, and may be I am also hoping that he will join me in firmwares cooking, cracking the eggs, and serving us all with bacons ? LOL!

I'm pretty sure he's gonna add baked beans too

That is amazing work!.
I am shocked how perfectly neat that work is!
So precisely positioned cap leads!
:astonished: :beerchug:

I know right ? I have always been fascinated by his works !! Totally amazing !! That ain’t skills alone, it needs talents

I have all the caps I need in.
But thanks to these pics, I realize I must take all precautions to do the best job possible.
So I bought new point soldering iron, and also some non-conductive pointy 3pack tweezers.

But that doesn't help when your vision is not as good as used to be.

So I looking now to order some soldering station that can hold the board and have a magnifying glass overhead :

So I can do my best, because it makes sense to make the effort since I will be working on what I prize, as one of the most valuable piece of gear I ever owned.
Can't take chances.
Especially as I am going for a very agressive upgrade by doing more caps, and altering the value of the 220uf position..

Edit:
I just don't know which one to pick lol

I ended up getting totally different things for my project:
To hold the board & components to solder:

:)

To "see" close:

:)

Then I ordered (on ebay) the copper cards and also an aluminum one with image of my choice.
:)

So all my caps (with exception of the two elna 47uf) are going to be from Audionote.
It will be a challenge to make fit!
:)
