Ordered some new pads to test.

Similar dimensions to the zmf ovals but with memory foam. Hopefully they work. Im really starting to like aliexpress.
I got these pads coming tomorrow to test out on the Argons, at the same time im gonna pull my suede ori pads off to test too.

ZMF pads aren't memory foam?

Nope, just regular quick bounce back foam in the ovals. My Ori's and Eikons are mem foam

Very nice quality, soft memory foam with slow bounce back and fit the argons perfect they do tame the bass just a tad. pics 3 and 4 are side by sides with the zmf ovals IMG_0650.JPG IMG_0651.JPG IMG_0652.JPG IMG_0653.JPG IMG_0654.JPG IMG_0655.JPG

these are staying on. so soft with no pressure points

Super easy they are in a little groove and slide out with minimal stretching

Anyone have other suggestions for an amp, I'm prolly gonna get the emotiva but I dont want to have to keep opening it up to change the jumper. Is there any other amp suggestions. I want something with a little more power then my liquid spark but nothing too expensive. My spark supplies 1.3w @ 50ohms I would like something around 3w

I've been looking as well and it seems that power is expensive. Of course, expensive is relative. There are interesting things out there beyond the Atom/Spark/Magni and they all seem $$$$. Others may have much better insight.

I keep waiting for the tha aaa 789 but its never available when the money is.
I can always just have a dedicated amp for the planars.

Might have to fork over for a darkvoice and an emotiva. Hopefully i can get in on the massdrop darkvoice.

I guess "amp for the Argon mk3s" is indeed a serious problem! I'm in the same boat. Haven't found an amp yet. My pair will be arriving end of the month. So excited!

I know this has been mentioned before in this thread, but the Emotiva Bas-X A-100 is a fantastic pairing with the Argons with all the power you could want and only $230 shipped. Also, if you're looking for portable, the Cayin C5 has plenty of power and makes the Argons sing and it can often be found in the FS Forums for $75.

can these be considered great for bass? I'm an audiophile that loves big bass

These have amazing bass. The more I listen to them the more they grow on me. Day 1 I thought they were bass heavy. Now they seem perfect and all my other cans seem lacking. They just keep getting better.
