I like it in the smaller enclosure. I like it period. Hey Pete, I'll trade you a Desktop with Home modules and DAC for one.

With that trade you should get one with a custom Hawaiian print case!

In tangentsoft fashion it should be called MHINT for Millet Hybrid is Now Tiny. Not to be confused with MINT.

My contribution — rough draft of Concept No. 1 for the Tyll Distinguished Service Maui Waui Line (print options TBD — faux horn or faux whalebone buttons optional):

It's about time someone produced some artistic casework. Where are the audiophile fashionistas?!

Color is Wired — bland is re-tired!

If it adds to the party, I'm for it!

Also always willing to lend my "Golden Ears" and ever-so-subjective opinions.

I'm hoping if I post more of my silly graph-mods I might start a trend to artsy offerings and more visual beauty all around. (Interpret that bit any which way you like...)

So … is it faux whalebone buttons for you?

Whalebone? Sure! Maybe a little coconut and some palmfronds to add a bit of color.

Nice. I'm always open to suggestions. I'm a good learner.

I promise I won't use sushi. (…real or artificial…)

They shouldn't be compared as one is portable and one isn't. The Little Dot Micro Tube needs the external power supply to run while the Millet Tube Portable, well, it's just that. Portable.

I think it's perfectly acceptable to compare the two.

Well, SQ wise yes, but in portability aspect no. LDM Tube is not definately a portable amp. Actually, the external PS is quite big, and in pictures it looks like bigger than many tabletop amps. You have to be quite a faqir to carry a LDMT with you to downtown...

A bit off-topic, but Pete Millet will be attending the International Meet in San Jose this April and he has confirmed that he should have a couple of these beauties with him for members to try out. I am STOKED!

He also accepted an invitation to join the panel of amp manufacturers who will be speaking on Saturday evening! Once again, STOKED!
