Just need to join in and say how good the Penon Serial is with the Penon Mix cable, if you ever found the Serial lacking some upper bite in the treble this is a perfect companion. Or another IEM for that matter.

It keeps the thick low end while giving some extra treble resolution and air.

Also got today a custom 4.4mm adapter in 40cm, meant for extending the cable at my desktop setup. But also for having fun with synergies giving a little to a normal cobber cable.

Received yesterday. I took it for testing.

Very well executed, but the sound !!!!!!

Transparent, "neutral", excellent dynamics, tones (density), etc.

Summary= perfect, no limitations.

It is far (yes far... ) better than my Plussound PPH (yes, PPH... ) adapter.... 4 times more pricey...

Which, in direct comparaison, is very colored, less transparent and less precise (soundstage, placement....)

A steal.... And the real deal imo.

So DSW fully approved and adopted....

And I think this asian brand "Gu Craftsman" (Gu is the name of the owner) deserve a lot of attention.

Precisely, I had a DDhifi, but I didn't find it very good...

Slightly flat, dull sound... A slightly compressed dynamic, as a result.

My personal ranking, if I may :

1/ https://hifigo.com/collections/gucr...cable-for-iriver-sr25-and-other-audio-players = perfect no less, no more. Very good construction, finition, and light weight. Pure gold plated copper jacks (male and female), and litz (type ?) pure occ silver (x8) for the cable Excellent ergonomics.

2/ https://m.fr.aliexpress.com/item/10...il_item.4.74e57d56jUSfAr&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra = aside with the aforementioned Gu Craftsman adapter above. Maybe more transparent, but less denser (timbres, tones) and natural. Good soundstage but lack a little relief and depth. But extremely very good too... And light weight. Very recommended. This is the same principe as the RCA Eichmann Bullet... Pure gold plated copper jacks (male and female).

3/ https://www.plussoundaudio.com/cust...e=Micro-Series-Termination-Adapter-p250261068 = very good (I do have the PPH version) but very pricey (x4 the Gu's price !!!! ), fragile (jack ; but pure gold plated copper, and internal litz 6 cable, here the Palladium Plated Hybrid one), heavy (compared to) and... Far more colored than the two others adapters cited above. Less precise (placement, soundstage) but very good 3d effect... As the Gu... Which is more precise... And four times less expensive... That's the life...

4/ https://m.fr.aliexpress.com/i/32969207148.html?gatewayAdapt=Pc2Msite = Pure Oyaide copper inside (x2). Very good, everything but bass does lack density, presence and little drive as a result. Less holographic than the PlusSound or the Gu. But... remains very, very good

5/ https://m.fr.aliexpress.com/item/10...7b1327f4bb0b62b495ee83360e4&afSmartRedirect=y = well ... Disappointed (compared to...). Less vivid than the Fiio, little dullness, flat sound ? Too bad because the object is very beautiful and practical. But I found the sound rather mediocre (compared to)...
