Dita Project M. Well I wasn't expecting this... from all the impressions this iem is the opposite of my chosen sound signature, less bass more treble etc when infact it has super engaging bass beautiful emotive mids and sweet sweet treble for once female vocals are equal to male. The Project M does love power. Out of the Venture Electronics stack it's a sublime experience and up there as possibly the midfi release of the year.
Cable used is the ivipQ-162 a good match might have to get the KZQPZ 2pin to protect the connectors.
Edit Also worth mentioning the first set of iem with eartips that fit my ears and give satisfying playback with a deep comfortable fit,Top Marks

Now imagine everything I said above the times by 10 that's what happened when I added a 7n OCC cable to the Project X the clarity and to use a popular phrase at the moment the "Orbital staging and spatiality" just flew off the charts. What an incredible iem. The cable used is below
Let's delve into some key aspects of these Meze Alba earphones, keeping their $160.00 price point in mind. Are they worth the small investment? I think so far, yes.
One of the standout features of these earphones is their exceptional build quality, which is evident even at the $160.00 price point. In-person, they exude a premium feel that surpasses their appearance in pictures or videos.
The packaging is average, but it's cool that they include a dongle. A case and 4 sets of tips are also included.
I'm not sure of the tech inside the dongle, but it works fine with one of my Android phones, the Pixel 8 Pro. I haven't tried it with any other phones yet. The Alba sounds good with the dongle and is a great solution when streaming Tidal in FLAC format. It powers the Alba plenty well. The Alba is a DD, with limited seasoning time. With the dongle, the signature is smooth and inoffensive. It is quite an enjoyable listen.
The cable quality matches the pricing scheme. It sounds fine, but it is flimsy and uses a 3.5mm connector. I do prefer balanced, but being a 2-pin, I have a few options, although I'm sticking with the stock cable for now.
Comfort appears to be a big question. I am struggling a bit here, but I promise I will give you my honest opinion after I try some things. I am using the XL stock tips. The reason I am struggling is in trying to figure out if this is more comfortable with shallow or deep insertion. I think if the largest tip you are comfortable with provides you with a proper seal, then a shallow fit works well. A deep insertion will work because of the small shell size, but it isn't comfortable for my ears. I may try some other tips and depths of insertion.
I will be happy to answer your questions. Also, I will post some sound impressions once I can try it with a couple of DAPs and become accustomed to their signature.
