Depends if you're looking for copper or silver. Generally I pair silver w/ warmer headphones and copper w/ brighter headphones. I've owned 3 of their cables (below) and just ordered my 4th.

Left: Solvine
Right: Draug Silver

Norne is the way to go! Lazuli cost so much yet it comes with cheap connectors and oxygen free copper which is nothing amazing for such price, Copper usb cable for 600 are you kidding me? Its money grab company. Double Helix prices makes 0 sense also...
Norne cables though deserve praise, heard Draug 2 and it is already fantasticly built and also step over any stock cable in sound.

Which norne to buy though is the question, there’s so many connector options, there’s 2 of the rhodium 4 pin xlr options no idea what’s different about them, also I gotta pick which cable to go with...

I recently had the privilege of auditioning Meze Empyrean headphones on the Chord DAVE. Now my regular headphones are Focal Utopias but after 3 hours of auditioning in the shop (Thanks Zeppelin!), I came to the conclusion that I could live with either headphone (Utopia or Empyrean) when run directly from the DAVE.

The key difference that I could articulate after 3 hours was that the Focal Utopia puts you amongst the band on the stage (such is the tightness and accuracy of the soundstage) and the transients are really really strong through the Utopias. The Empyreans (with a couple of notches of increased volume on the DAVE) sound like you are a couple of rows back from the performance because you can hear everything you can with the Utopias (with the same accuracy of timbre) but with just a slightly less impact or intensity like you would hear/feel if you moved metres away from the instruments.

Had I not already owned the Utopias, I may have leaned towards the Empyreans for their slightly wider soundstage and super comfortable fit (not that Utopias are not comfortable, they are). But I cannot justify trading in my Utopias for a slightly different presentation on the DAVE.

Regards
GG

I am gonna buy these.
Left my Z1R at my hometown when i went for vacation and i just can't enjoy HD800s for too long. I really enjoy them when i have to listen for 30mins to 1 hr. If i go beyond an hour I end up getting headache even with low volume. I am more of speakers guy since they are less fatiguing but I am staying in an apartment and I can't own speakers here.
When I went to Canjam I was in no mood to buy any new headphones as i was contempt with my 800s, 600 and Z1R but every desk there had these cans on them and I listened to them at almost every desk. Best pairing was with Dave pairing.
I don't have Dave but i do have Chord Mojo.
I liked them so much as I felt it has the sound signature that I can listen to for long duration without getting headache.
I think I will buy them tomorrow but have a question, is the warranty transferrable to new owner in case you buy used ones?
