I actually have the older gun-metal gray or gray/green or whatever it's called. Got it from a fellow Head-Fi'er.
My favourite of the three originals

My setup tonight is on point
Amplifier: Woo Audio WA6 2nd Gen
DAC: Musician Draco
Tubes: 2 1960's Japanese Hitachi 13DE7's
Rectifier: Sophia Princess 274B

I used to use the Rupert Neve Headphone Amplifier but it does not come close to this setups performance

I have always been curious about those Niimbus amps.

I was going to audition one but the Envy took over an i just didn't get the time. Those things are built like tanks aren't they. I've heard good things.

I will recommend it very much

Guess it sounds great with the Empy. :ok_hand:

Would like to explore the difference between this Nimbus and a Vio 550Pro by myself.
But damn, they're expensive. ^^

Pair this with a Holo Spring/May and call it a day. :)

I am thinking to buy one of these cables for the Empyrean: the Lavri grand cable, or the Meze copper cable.

Are there any thoughts or advices about a comparison between these?
Lavri Grand.
After you taste the pure silver there is no way back.
I am using the Grand sky blue for both the Elite and the Susvara.
It is more transparent, open sounding and it passes more information than the Meze copper.

Yes I was concerned the Lavri would add brightness but nope. Probably worth getting a burn in service too.

I got these Options:

Grand Silver Meze Empyrean Elite upgrade cable - 2 m
Length:2 m
Silver:Multistrand litz 6n awg20 cryo (4 cores)
Headphone plugs:Furutech FT-610mf
Plug:Aeco XLR 4 Gold (copper)
Y splitter:Lavricables carbon
Silk sleeving:Black sleeving
Burn in service:100 hours

Burn-in is absolutely necessary.
If someone is not a believer then better skip pure silver cables.

Niimbus amp is excellent, extremely happy with mine and is the amp I use the most often. Haven't tried empy on the enleum yet. You might look for a Niimbus us4 + and save a bit, as from what I understand it's the same as the us5+ internals.

OEM Meze silver upgrade cable is so worth it. Makes a big difference. I didn't see much of an upgrade even from cables that cost 2-3 times as much as it.
