Dear Meze Team, I would also be very interested in the Empyrean. In the German forum Nomax said that there will be a revision with new earpads this summer, because the previous ones are not exactly optimal.

Can you confirm that? Then I would of course wait with the order. Or could they be ordered later?

Thanks for a short comment. But you don't want to have an old model when you order one month later.

The German "Musicalhead" also mentions that the ear pads is not the best and that potential is wasted here. Therefore I would consider it credible if they were revised.

Possible or not possible? That this Top Build Construction with his funny and enjoyable tonality can sound much more airy and with less pressure from the lows? 😎

I apologize in advance for my English. I have been an Empyrean owner for 6 months. It was my dream. Their sound is beautiful, that's my peak. I would like to ask the forum members who have Meze Empyrean for help in choosing an IEM with a similar sound signature.

Beautiful picture.
I would propose Meze Rai Penta. It goes in the same direction.

I heard that the Rai Penta definitely does not have a similar sound signature to the Empyrean

I just received an Empyrean so I am only talking out of the box sound for the moment. I have been an IEM guy and best I have found is the Vision Ears Erlkonig. It has just been discontinued, so you will have to find a pair on the used market. My pair competes with the Empyrean. I do not know which one I like best yet as I will need to spend much more time with the Empy. What I can already say is they definitely play on the same field in terms of both sound and build quality.

I consider the Erlk a neutral IEM that leans romantic in any deviation from neutral. I also use position 2 as it has 4 separate sound signatures. Here is a link to my review and others:

Tks.

Empy is also my favourite headphone. However, my favourite IEM, which is final a8000, has the opposite sound signature.

Rai Penta was my first idea, but I also heard that it doesn't have a similar sound signature to Empyrean

Regarding the Rai Penta you are going to definitely get the house sound.
It is just a little more forward in it's upper mids section but still very enjoyable with the same sound signature more or less.

I Have the JH Audio custom fit Layla as my IEM, and to my ears they can come very close to the empyreans because you can adjust the bass to fit your needs. I use them with my AK SP1000.

Considering the cost of the Empyreans, and its attractive finishes on the item itself, i thought of getting a headphones stand. The Empyrean stand made by Meze is asymmetrical and i thought not ideal, right? one side gets more pressure when resting on the Meze stand, and one side of the strap also gets more pressure. None of this sounds ideal!!

may i please ask if anyone has good headphone stands to suggest? thank you in advance.

I have the one by Meze and it seems to be fine. I just recently got my Empyreans so I cannot speak about years of use, but from what I can tell there will not be an issue. I am sure less expensive ones will also be fine. These headphones are very well made, you will have to work to harm them. Tks.
