Which tc did you replace elites with? 1266 or dianas?

They’re technically more proficient but I can only listen to them for an hour semi-comfortably, and not during the wee hours when I do most of my listening, on a recliner. But I think music enjoyment is a sum of many parts, which to my preferences and listening habits the Elites are a better fit. Plus I needed more efficient planars.

For technical proficiency I decided to keep the Susvara over TC.

Susvara + Elites have made me happier than the 1266 + Susvara combo. Elites also opened me up to more amp options to play with.

I've read that people experience better soundstage, imaging and detail going TO the Elite from the 1266 TC. LOL.

I love Elite and I think for these 3 things, abyss is above the Elite. OTOH, 1266TC is too intense and create fatigue feeling which not my cup of tea.

Just as an interest check, If anyone is interested in my 8 month old Dark Mystery Elite, let me know Velour pads are unused, have all the original stuff, comes with 6.3mm silver upgrade cable.
Not switching, I love these things, I just might be finding myself with 2 pairs soon.

I'm still on the fence, but most likely dCS Lina + clock + Zaehl Hm1. Will try out multiple headphones after. Including the Susvara for the 10th time. If that can't make it slam, nothing will.

Sounds like an amazing new setup.
Not enough tubes for my taste but certainly top class nonetheless

Will see Not a fan of tubes, and the Lina sounds super organic and natural with the Oor and Elites. I imagine the HM1 will be an upgrade. Not sure if that can make even the Stealth sound lively.

What a great setup you will have! I listened the Lina stack recently on an audio show in Warsaw, with Susvaras and it was really jaw-dropping.

I guess this is what I’d need to finally stop thinking about audio upgrades for some time

You'd think so, but with the Rossini and Vivaldi out there...

I have the Bartok plus Oor/Hypsos plus Elite (and Stealth and Expanse)… extremely enjoyable!!!

I’m curious about Ferrum’s upcoming DAC too.

Yes. Early 2023. They mentioned it in a recent Stereophile article in an audio show in Poland. I also received an email this week about their testing process for a new product.

I think it’s DAC only, no headphone.

I'm starting to really enjoy the Elite and would like to upgrade the cable. Normally I would go straight for the Danceable Nirvana because I've had it with other headphones and always been impressed. However, I recently got a JPS Superconductor for the Abyss 1266 and have been comparing it to the Nirvana that I've been using with the 1266 for a while. SQ wise it is too early to tell which I prefer, I think they are in same league with each other so would probably come down to personal preference. What I have been delighted with is the comfort and usability of the JPS cable. It is really nice not having the heavier and stiffer Nirvana cable to deal with. If JPS made a Superconductor for the Elite I would get it.

So, any thoughts on an upgraded cable that is light and flexible like the Superconductor but in the same SQ league as the Nirvana?
