Does anyone have the meze headphone couch and what do they think?
I have two and love them.
They are used for both, my Empyrean and Solitaire P

Also have the couch for my Empyreans. It is nice and shows off the ID, IMO.

I have used many different headphone stands in various shows and events, the couch is definitely the best display too I have ever come across. I can control the headphone to sit on the couch at perfect placement, it won't swing around or move sideways. When other headphone stand will display the headphone at perpendicular placement, and I need to lower my camera or mobile phone to horizontal level in order to take a good photo. The couch, on the other hand, will display the headphone as if it is laying on a hand, every photo will show the headphone in its best angle.

The only problem is the space it occupied. If you only have one or two headphones, the couch works fine. If you need to display 5 or 10 headphones, then you'll need to reserve more space when compare to other headphone stand.

I am finally having a couple of quality hours away from reviewing, just listening to my favorite music.

ZEN Stream->Denafrips Gaia->Denafrips Venus II->Feliks Euforia->Meze Elite

My vocabulary is too limited to describe the experience....
It can't be. I read a lot of fabulously written reviews from you. You definitely can do better. :beerchug:

Pure, undiluted music listening experience.
Timbre and tonality sound scarily real.

OK, this is round one, let see your round two?

On the subject of cables and Meze headphones:

The best cable I have found for Empy is a big 16 wire OCC copper cable from Capistrano Cables. Close second is ZMF 2k copper, which lives on my VOs. The Forza Noir Hybrid HPC is great, but not preferred, and pure Silver Dragon Premium is absolutely horrible on Empy for me. I don’t love the Meze SPC cable on Empy either.

On Elite, I prefer the Forza cable. Next are the big copper cables, followed by the Silver Dragon, which for some reason (probably that it is insufficiently thick). It gives great midrange and highs clarity, but eats all the base, like a dragon. Need to get a better silver cable, but Norne sucks at returning my email. Haven’t tried the Meze SPC with Elite.

No experience with Meze stock cables.

Interesting, The Forza is great but not preferred with Empyrean, but you like the Forza with Elite. A lot of users will simply go for a more expensive cable when they moved up to a more expensive headphone, but you apparently know your synergy and preference when you select your headphone cable.

What is the headphone amplifier you are using when you select these cables for Empyrean and Elite? Headphone cable is the bridge between the amplifier and the headphone. Knowing your amplifier help us to appreciate your choice of cable.

I have to find some time to translate and adapt my Greek review of the Elite.
Oh, time, it's never enough...

Oh, time, it's never too late, we'll wait. :beerchug:

Great, it adds more body, holography, timbre and texture.
Combined with an equally talented DAC then you get close to reality, at least when we are talking instruments in a concert hall.
But you can get almost there with a good analogue sounding solid state amps like for example the likes from FLUX.

I assume you refer to FLUX FA-12 since your reviewed it recently. Your review suggested that this is a very powerful discrete Class A Head Amp at sub $1K range. If it can compete with Feliks Euforia, that probably means it offers very good synergy with Elite. Definitely something to keep an eye with.

Both FA-10 and FA-12 offer good synergy with the Elite from a slightly different perspective.
The FA-10 is closer to tubey sound without tubes shortcomings.
Of course it is quite difficult to keep up with the Euforia which is a beast in it's own.
I suppose that the Volot should be closer...

Now let me be straight. I have never seen the couch in person but here is my take away based on the pictures. With the Empyrean the annoying thing for me is the way the cups just swing around freely, especially when on a regular headphone stand. With the couch the cup in the rear looks like it can do just that. Give me a minute and I'll add a picture of what I use to this post.20211006_151916.jpg

What is the DAP in this picture, assuming it's being used as a digital transport to the TT2?

Yes, that's Cayin N3Pro, coaxial out to TT2.
Maybe I am the odd one out, I prefre coaxial over USB with Chord gears, especially when Meze headphones is the spotlight of the system. I want to highlight the natural presentation which I believe is the essence of Meze sound signature.
