From the photo it looks like they use Peerless HPD-50N25PR00-32 driver (the same as Borealis and Kennerton Vali).
Is that the same driver Apos Audio is using in the Caspian? From the photo it looks like they use Peerless HPD-50N25PR00-32 driver (the same as Borealis and Kennerton Vali).
no Caspian uses different driverIs that the same driver Apos Audio is using in the Caspian?
I read that it's beryllium. The Caspian is made with a Kennerton driver, so I guess they likely are different.no Caspian uses different driver
here is Caspian
here is the Peerless HPD-50N25PR00-32
the Meze 109 driver looks very similar to HPD 50 but it seems darker, it is posible to be the same driver but treated with some sort of coating
the black paper cone in the center looks the same though
Certainly looks great, the copper upgrade cables also look great together with the wooden partsFound another photo:
It does look damn good when using it on wooden dac/amps.
Mid bass tilt? $800? Meh. That’s almost half a Liric. And I have the P9 already. But good luck.Meze has announced these as under $1000 so I wouldn’t be expecting an entry level. I bet these will retail around $800 USD. And by all accounts that I’ve seen these aren’t just an open back 99 Classic. Much better than that.
Indeed, wooden stuff with copper or gold are the best combination IMHO. Meze nailed on that already with their 99 Classics and this adds a new level of beauty.Certainly looks great, the copper upgrade cables also look great together with the wooden parts
Assuming this cable will be rolled out at the same time? The only copper cables on the Meze Website use XLR jacks. Not seeing the dual 3.5mm version.Certainly looks great, the copper upgrade cables also look great together with the wooden parts
Could be a bit early to make that assumption. Only a few people have heard them, and they all say mid bass warmth is considerably less than that of the 99 Classics.Mid bass tilt? $800? Meh. That’s almost half a Liric. And I have the P9 already. But good luck.
You mean the XLR jacks goes in the earcups?Assuming this cable will be rolled out at the same time? The only copper cables on the Meze Website use XLR jacks. Not seeing the dual 3.5mm version.
