Thanks. So has the headband or ear cups changed at all? I remember they were too small for my head and tight on my ears.
Cool, Interested. But I may want to buy it though lol. Done reviews of at least 20 or so cans over the paste decade and a half on headfi and other sites as well.

Thanks for the response. The ear pad change would definitely help. I just found I had them open as wide as possible and they could not quite extend far enough to fully reach the bottom of my ears. Just 1 inch extra reach on each side would be great. I remember when it was fully on the fancy gold things at the junction of the extenders and head band dug into the sides of my head as well. Just not meant for folks over 6'4" perhaps. A headband which extends farther can always be designed to retract enough to fit smaller heads, but of course the opposite isn't true, and if it doesn't open far enough, that's a large percentage of potential customers who love the sound but they just can't fit.
I was very concerned about the pads as well, especially as I have what you might call huge ears.
In the end, I have been wearing Classics 99 every day for a month now - even outside. They are comfortable for me, way more comfortable than I thought they'd be given the size of the pads
The secret lies in adjusting the pads after placing them on the ears. Play a bit with them until the ears snug in the pads. This pretty much does it for me. Sennheiser momentum over the ear are still on-ears for me BTW.

The ear pads being larger on these means that is no longer a problem. What I'm talking about is that you can't pull the ear units down far enough, you can't extend them enough, for my largre head. Also, there is that metal signature piece on each side that pokes the sides of my head. This is a different issue that ear pad size alone does not address, at all.
I feel your pain and share the same problems with earpad sizes and fit.
Cheers!
