I ordered them last summer. Told them (by email) what headphones I wanted cables for and what interconnects I wanted. They sent me an invoice and took about 2 weeks to get them.

Ty for confirming. I have their standard 3.5 for my Sundara. I’ll see if they come close to connecting some time today.

Čo zo zvedavosti všetci používajú pre prenosný zdroj s vašou 99-kou? Našli ste tú magickú synergiu? Práve som zobral prenosný elektrónkový zosilňovač Oriolus ba300s. Spárovanie s mojim Hiby R5. Vážne veľmi dobre osladil moju klasiku.
V stredných basoch a nízkych stredoch ich o niečo menej zahriali a horným stredom pridali úžasné rozšírenie. Teraz menej tmavé ako priamo z R5. Dajte im trochu lesku, iskry a vzduch. Zvuková scéna a oddelenie nástrojov sa výrazne zlepšili. Žiadny výkvet ao niečo lineárnejšie, ale stále neuveriteľné zábavné a pútavé. Znejú ako riešenie, drahšie slúchadlá, teraz imo. Ale nestratili nič z tej bohatej a organickej tonality, ktorá robí to, čo sú.
Dosť som zamieňal zosilňovač aj bez neho a ba300s je úžasný spoločník pre Classics. Navyše, jeho rozmery sú takmer presné zhody s modelom R5, s určitým približne pol palca dlhej. Použil som Shanling M3s, Meze99 Classics. Hralo sa celkom dobre. Vyskúšal som Sony wm1z. Skoro som spadol na zadok. Nikdy som nepočul lepší zvuk. Sony wm1z je úžasný. Len som sedel a užíval si hudbu. Má to atmosféru. Detaily, úplné ticho, priestor, punč, dokonalé výšky ... Používam aj Sennheiser HD 800. Najradšej mám Meze99 Classics. Nepotrebujem hľadať nič iné. Vyrobil som aj špičkový elektronický čelovku. Už ho nepotrebujem.

I wanted to share my "180° MezeMod" in the hopes that some of you will be able to take advantage of it!

It basically allows you to use 3.5mm jacks that just barely fit and would otherwise not be able to be used - newer HART Audio cables, for example.

OK, I tried the velour pad (delivery time 2 weeks, so for AliExpress that's fast) with the silver plated balanced cable and the iBasso DX220Max (low gain). First impressions, they're comfortable but a bit warm. The sound, as Anastase described in post #6993 is much more balanced. No more too low thumb, no more a bit shrill highs. I was thinking about selling my Classics, but now they'll get another chance.

Over the past 2 weeks I used them a lot, with different dap's (Hiby R3, AK240, Ibasso 220Max, Opus1S with xCan). Image is wide, bass is YES THAT'S IT, without getting overdone. Buying the velours earpads really was an excellent tip from Anastase. Finally they've become a real Classics for my ears. No way I'm going to sell these.

Don't forget to choose the foam version. I'm lazy, so I just put them over the ear cup. Fits perfect like that.

I may be in the minority here, but I was actually disappointed by the Meze 99's. The low end feels tight and punchy and the highs sound good, but overall it seems to have a flat sound to me and lacks some of the depth I had on my old set. Maybe I'm just used to the sound of the EMU teaks, but I think the 99's are somewhat of a let down.
