So the cable plugs are silver as well? Do you also confirm earpads are larger? Thanks.

Just got my shipment of Classic 99 that I pre-ordered in Feb 16 but unfortunately I ordered Maple Silver but was shipped Walnut Silver.  I think you guys better double check your outgoing shipments ... the fulfillment end seems to be mixing up the 2 products.

Already sent Lorand an email to follow up on my case ... hopefully we can get this resolved soon ... arrgghhh ... now gotta wait even longer before I can listen to it ...

Hello @Emerpus. You should get a package shipped to you containing the right model in a day or two. We are processing all the world-wide pre-orders and Indiegogo backers this week.
 
And since there's no reason to keep it a secret (if there ever was one), yes, the Meze 99 Classics Walnut Silver and Maple Silver have officially started shipping!
 
They also come with larger earpads - H 6.5 cm x W 5 cm as opposed to the old ones which dimensions' are H 5.5 cm x W 4 cm - besides the new aesthetic difference from the Meze 99 Classics Gold. 
 
 
Edit: the earpads on the new models are a little larger than the ones on the original 99 Classics Gold. New pads are being developed and will be released in the future. Thank you for understanding, apologies for the confusion. 
 
 
And since there is such a hype created around the wood grain of the headphones (we knew it!), we will start a new thread where you can post photos of the unique wood grain of your Meze 99 Classics. 
 
Lastly, we'd like to thank you for your constant support. Just so you know, we really appreciate all your questions, even the more uncomfortable ones (we're looking at you @Melrose haha), we enjoy answering the latter the most.

EARPAD SIZE UPDATE
 
Hey there, Head-fi community. We have some news on the larger earpads.
 
The first batch of Meze 99 Classics had an interior earpad size of 40mm X 55mm ± 1mm.
 
As of April 2016, the Meze 99 Classics, all color variations, come with an interior earpad size of 50mm X 60mm ± 1mm.
 
Below, you can see some photos of the measurements we did. The comparison is between the first batch (left) and current batch (right) earpads.
 
We will have spare earpads in the future, but as of yet we do not have a date for when they will be officially released. We will release updates regarding their availability and price when the time will come. This is all we have for now. If you, however, wish to contact us, feel free to do it either via PM or at support@mezeheadphones.com.

Fantastic! I am curious to see the maple's out in the wild. Going to have to work out the kinks in my camera so I can take worth-while pictures. 

Both walnut and maple look elegant, but there is something about the white and silver that make them seem more unique, more upscale, much like how I prefer my original beige/burl-wood HD598 over the black. The maples kind of remind me of a classic Cadillac. Anyway, can't wait to see them after Head-fiers get their orders filled.

We just measured a sample and got the same results as you did. 
 
We should receive the proper larger pads in around 60 days. They will be available for purchase on our website. What we can do for you, and we mean all of you, is send you a pair of larger pads when they are released, free of charge. Just write to us at support@mezeheadphones.com with your order number and let us know about the pads, we'll add you on the waiting list for the larger pads.
