I've recently been in contact with Meelectronics and got some information about what they are up to or will be up to.  Apparently they are to re-release the M11 as M11+.  It's supposed to have a new driver in them and will come with 10 sets of tips.  Same housing with the same colors but the manufacturing is supposed to be different.  No word of an M6+ but who knows....might be surprised.

Yep, been waiting patiently for the M11+ for a while now. Hopefully the M11 housing will finally have the drivers it has always deserved. I won't hold my breath for an M6+ but maybe an M6-something else would flesh out the line...

God ten sets of tips. Perhaps a bit of overkill? Also while we're talking about Meelectronics has anyone else seen people saying the M9 and M6 are now using different drivers?

yeah.... hopefully out of those 10 tips a couple will actually work.... hoping its not just typical rubber or silicone tips.

you could never have too many sets of tips. Look at the Monster turbine pro line..all those tips and only one of them really was good for my ears.

I've been in contact with them as well (did a few reviews of MEElectronics IEMs on my site) and I've also heard that they're working on an M6P which is simply the M6s adapted for cell phone use.

The m6 uses different drivers than the m9, i have confirmed it with meelectronics, and i have personally taken apart my m9 to compare the driver to the drivers in my clear m6's... they are indeed different.

I can understand why they would want to focus on the M11 to beef up, since it was considered mediocre by many especially considering it's their top priced model. Also the style and geometry probably has more LCD appeal than the M6.

But the paramount question for me is will the M11+ be deserving of purchase as an upgrade to my M6, and I mean full replacement caliber. Considering my preference for the M6 design, there's going to need to be more than a marginal SQ difference. I suspect Meelec is capable of putting out something that dwarfs anything in their current lineup, and if the M11+ isn't it, I'll wait.

M11s were the most comfortable earphones i ever used. Though i now prefer the feel of the M6 maybe due to wear in.

Looks like the M11+ is going to be priced quite high. So high price, high build quality, high comfort, so high sound quality? :)

I think it will be
