MEE Audio Pinnacle P1 - $199 Dynamic Driver Flagship *Reviews 2nd Post*

So i swapped my F9's for Pinnacle P1 today. Tried them on my fiio x3ii (my dx80 is in china for battery swap). And actually i would like the F9's more if not that damn 7khz peak.
So far to my ears the P1's have a bit tighter bass, more natural vocals and more scene in depth.
I hear more micro details in highs with the F9's.
But the big win goes to F9 for comfort! So i will still get the PRO's if the 7khz peak is gone.
Will see how will things be with my DX80 when it arrives.

P.S : With the P1's i got a new pair of SpinFit eartips... And damn they are good! RECOMEND!

Ok, so the P1's sound very good... But damn, after 50-60 minutes my ears hurt... Not from the sound, but from shape :frowning2:
And i could sleep a whole night in my fiio f9's.
Damn, i'm sad. It's like eating tasty food when your mouth hurts...

I guess it's a personal thing -- I find the P1s to be some of the most comfortable IEMs that I own. I don't really like to sleep with earphones that are that expensive, but it's happened more than once. But my Fiio EX1s are the most comfortable ever...I nod off with them in regularly.

Gotta find the right tips. Spinfits make them so damn comfy.

Yes, got them. But they add too much lows for me. :D
Yesterday i went to a place where they make custom hearing amplifiers. And i asked them if they can make some custom tips for my IEM's. And they said yes! And its damn cheap (around 20$).

Nice!

I admit I use Spinfits for the low boost. They're a little too dry for my tastes otherwise.

The Blades (c240) are perfect though.

I've had mine for about 3weeks. I previously owned the Heir Audio 10.0 ($+1,000cad), And somehow these iems have outdone them. The Highs and Hidden details were non-existent on the 10.0. All its weaknesses are strengths of the P1.

I bought a yoke-style one from AliExpress that has the MMCX connectors and enough power to drive the P1s very nicely. I like it a lot better than this X7 style one from Mee. I don't like the dongles hanging on both sides, and if it's like the X7, I found the wires to be short for my head and neck. But it's nice that they've come out with something "official".

p1 is VERY comfortable to my ears too, probably one of the best ive found. currently using the JVC Spiral Dots (med-large) and love them, sound and fit is perfect for my ears. i do like tgat the spiral dots come in in-between sizes, if you can figure out what is best for you b4 you order (took a month to get them from Japan though).

just wondering what your issue is? i run the v20 with P1 for hours quite regularly, doesnt kill battery that much... is there much difference between v20 and v30 (same quadDAC right?) hope u get it sorted out!

Volume issues. The v30 is just too quiet with the P1.

I find the PX comfortable too. They are hefty but that seems to help keep them in place snugly. These are my go to IEMs when out and about in noisy environments. Good isolation. I use them with a Cowon Plenue D. I find them a bit hard to drive though. They really shine when powered by a desktop dac/amp but that kind of defeats the purpose for me because I have other headphones I reach for when listening at home.

The ~50ohm thing is definitely a sticking point. For a single DD IEM they are stellar, though.
