Maybe this is a bit off topic, but my beloved Sony V700s are falling apart at the swivel joints ... and before I send them in I want to know if you think it will be covered by the Sony warranty? I have not put them under any particular stress. Actually I've been very careful with them, only using them moderately. I've never dropped them or anything.
 
So what do you think? I don't feel like I should pay for a new one if this is covered by the warranty.

How long have you used them? Are there any other visible signs of wear and tear around the headphone? You can take a couple of pictures and post them here or even email Sony and see what they say.

I don't have a camera, and I doubt I'll get a response from Sony in time. I bought them only half a year ago, and they're essentially flawless except for the swivel joints.
