My pads also broke the same way. Before I got the replacement my temporary fix was using pleather part of somic mh438 pads over mikros foam part.

The idea of sewing it back up crossed my mind, but then I thought, how the hell will I fit the big yellow foam back in?!?

No. Not really.
The other option is to reverse the channels at the amp.

What a bad planet.
I'm happy to be bad lol!
Seriously, my buddy - who is good at all things "cabling and modding" (very much unlike myself lol) - made that channel reversal cable for me. I wanted it initially for some iems that I was wearing reversed, but I now use it for the Mikros 90's when I get the urge to wear them reversed.
Side note: Wow, every time I put them on, I am amazed at their SQ (and about how right Pataburd has been all of these years lol!). If I wasn't so sensitive to pressure on my ears, I'd be very satiated with the 90's!
Wish for a Mikross Porta Pro

Welcome, Bro!
Uhuh thanks! :j
Did anyone else notice that rotating the headband forward in a position that is not self standing (the headband is at the same height of the eyebrows) improve the SQ substantially?
I need to find a way to keep them still in that position. Now the headband lies on the eyeglasses and it's almost fine.. almost.
