DT770/600 ohm arrived yesterday.
They sound dry, thin and bass-less alongside the Mikros 90. Stock Pair #3|0514 sounds about   j . . . u . . . s . . . t   right!
Ran with both the beta 22 and BCL.
I thought these Beyers would have good/adequate bass.  Did I get a lemon pair?  Are they not adequately broken in?
Will visit the DT770 thread(s) and read other impressions there.
Maybe I just have to get my DT770 "ears" on, but so far I am unimpressed/borderline disappointed with the Beyers.

You were warned. I didn't own them for very long though.

If he does, he is just going to write that the Mikros 90 is better...and then they are going to lynch him.

You were warned. I didn't own them for very long though.

Allegedly, the 600 ohm version bettered the 80 ohm version.  I enjoyed the DT880/600 when I had them, although not nearly as much as the DT880/250 2003 version [the pre-premium series].

I will let them burn in for the next several days.  I don't think they have even 20 hours on them yet from the original owner.

Left the HFI-780 at the apartment.  Strangely, they are the best-match with the beta 22.  The Mikros 90 sound alittle bright and edgy, and the PM-1 sound alittle bland and lacking in detail, but the Ultrasones sound the best I have ever heard them with the beta 22.

My Bada PH-12 is at the shop. Hopefully, I will have it back on line soon.  I asked the technician to put in some Elna electrolytics as well.  I miss my 6SN7s.  The Bada might be a good amp for the DT770.  I remember preferring the DT880 and the T1 with tubes.

Try not to stir up too much of a ruckus and get the thread locked lol!

On Head-Fi's "Ten Most Wanted", no doubt!
Wayne, you'll get questioned for harboring a criminal on the Mikros 90 thread.

Let the Beyers run in last night.
They sound "pretty darn good" [using SGD technical descriptors] this morning. And from my Denon AVR-1905 receiver to boot.
Bass sounds deep and even. Highs are still tizzy and midrange still a bit thin, though.  Nice sense of space in all three directions for closed cans.
I need to put the multimeter on these and make sure thay are 600 ohm.
Maybe they won't be such a disappointment after all.

But . . . how will they fare against the MIGHTY MIKROS 90???

Huge 3-D soundstage for me, too, after a few sips of Knob Creek on the rocks . . .
And I'm not even wearing the headphones!

I used to own DT770 250 ohms. It was my isolating headphone for night hours. It got replaced by  HM5, well to be exact by Digitech pro monitors which cost third of Beyerdynamic price. Eventually DIgitech's got replaced by Takstar Pro80 which got replaced by Mikros.

Damn...Each day I appreciate the Mikros more. :) These are different than dx1000 but I don't feel like downgrading when I need to use Mikros for isolation. I'm not bold enough to say these are on par...but goddangit... I don't know how your pair sounds but mine is just pure bliss! :)
