Not if I'm playing any of the 3 decks I mentioned

Especially Affinity. Mirrodin type II was quite scary.

Most likely, and that's not even a boast. Affinity, DStorm, and TEPS (they're all modified to some extent, by me, especially TEPS), are all consistent T3 wins. I've pulled off T2 Affinity, and also even stormed on T1.

Now UB control is another story. Another very long, and excruciating story..

Hey, our team playtested mono green pump for GP in Krakow few years back, it looks really nice, but at nowhere comes manequin and our deck lost something on its power(plus it was dump agro, so it wasn't so consistent), so we ended playing manequins and Mono white control(most boring deck on field, friend finished in top 16 with it)

Playtesting a UR combo-aggro at school today..(well, I had another student try it out, since I was catching up on some hmwk). Went 4-1-1. Against GW aggro and an esper control deck. Not bad for a spur-of-the-moment deck that cost half the amount of decks it beat...

I actually started playing during Onslaught block, and gradually drifted away during Kamigawa...well that was around when I entered middle school, so sports, computers, etc. took over...just recently came back this year. It's fun when you have nothing much to do (my iPhone's in repair status..)

Yeah, its a blast. I used to play constantly. I never went to any PTQs, but I was pretty active around my area; played a lot of UG madness and various Tog decks into the ground while they were T2...Miss that stuff, a lot. Played a lot of extended and local T1 stuff (nothing crazy). Maybe I'll start hitting up some drafts again.

Switch decks? There's a galore of great fast mono-green decks. Way too many..

I'm considering designing a Time Sieve T2 combo deck, and may also finally get to work on a Teachings Control deck. Probably the last real draw-go before Fae invaded...

Post the deck. I'll be more than happy to see if I can offer any insight.

Let me take a look at the card and I'll see what rolls around in the ol' noodle.

EDIT: Oh right! I remember the card now. I believe there was a combo that really helped accelerate him, but I don't remember what it was...I know that one of the future sight duals (the red/green dual) worked well with the kavu...let me check some old "Serious Fun" articles. FOUND IT!

Back when The Ferret used to write for wotc. Them were the days (not that I don't like Kelly Digges...he's a good guy and a pretty solid magic player...he just makes really weird card choices in his decks.)

Time Sieve is good. My friend runs one. I hate it because when hes comboing its like hes jerking off in front of me, it takes like 6 minutes for him to win, so its not a fun deck to play against lol.

4x Kavu Predator
4x Reverent Silence
4x Skyshroud cutter
4x Invigorate
4x Evolution Charm
4x Llanowar Elves
4x Umbral Mantle
4x Viridian Joiner
(The two comboed above make an excellent unlimited mana/power creature)
4x Bonesplitter (too cheap to buy Rancors)
4x Keen Sense
4x Urza's Bauble
4x Wild Growth
12 Forests

I would consider adding land grants with as few lands as you're running. I also don't know how often keen sense will go in your favor, I would go for some pump spell.

I will say that spending money on Rancor has always been an investment in magic that I've enjoyed. Every green aggro deck should run it. Bonesplitter is an okay substitute, but nothing can really sub Rancor.

Interesting combo with the umbral mantle and viridian joiner, btw. I greatly enjoy it.

Beyond that, I don't know of anything else that would really help your deck. It actually looks pretty spot-on for running the kavu. I think that the kavu deck is a little better for group games rather than duels. I could be wrong, though.

Good luck,

All combos is mostly boring, if you play only with friedns, forgot on them, on tournament, it is different, if you play combo, it is funny to look on your oponent and know, he can't do anything. My most favourite is UG Hearbeat.
