Hey all,
Initially I was set to purchase Denon D1100 but was turned off by its new design (Would have been great with the D1001 and D2000 style). The original plan was to top up to get the D2000 but I heard that the bass on D1100 is great (which makes me wonder if topping up for a better looking headphone is worth the money for the lesser amount of bass).
Currently looking at two other models, namely the M50 and HFI-580. If I'm not wrong, all these models are closed-back headphones which is the kind I'm looking for as I take public transport and frequent the library.
D1100, M50 and HFI-580 are priced similarly in my place and I'm wondering if the M50 or the HFI-580 has the audio performance that D1100 offers (or even so, the D2000).
So here are my requirements.
1) must has a closed-back design.
2) Similar amount of bass as the D1100.
3) Similar price range as the D1100.
4) Better looking than the D1100 (Subjective I know.....)
Currently owning the Senn. PXC 450 (unamped), and would like to upgrade to something richer in bass. Would be pairing these cans with the Fiio E7 and possibly the E9 as well.
Thanks all
