Spec difference on LPGT-Ti vs Normal one
- Max output level on the 3.5mm: +16dBu vs +14.4dBu (Max output power: 720mW vs 500mW/channel@32Ω)
- Freq. response on the 4.4mm: +0.005/-0.38 dB vs +0.008/-0.34 dB (20~20kHz)
- Playback time: ≥9h vs ≥10h
- Weight: 365g vs 311g
Thanks. So how does it sound? Is there „just“ more power or does the sound change, too? Somewhere in an older post I read that it sounds even more „airy“. So the bass department didn’t get some more „oomph“ with the power update? Would have been nice. Looking forward to reading impressions!

@ayang02 , indeed, you were right about the rumors

The more I think about 720mW (3.5mm, SE) vs 500mW (4.4mm, BAL), the more it makes sense. 4.4mm BAL termination is more common with IEMs where 500mW should be more than enough, while 3.5mm (along with 1/4" jacks) is more common with desktop equipment driving full size more demanding headphones where extra boost will be beneficial.

I think that the answer to "3.5mm > 4.4mm" is right there in the new specs.

The LPGT channel separation through the 3.5mm out is mediocre enough that they never specified it in their literature; they just published -126dB for the 4.4mm balanced out. Now in the new specs, -126dB as listed as a singular spec, not referring to which output, and therefore assumedly applying to both. They addressed the (slight) Achilles Heel of the LPGT, hence "3.5mm > 4.4mm".

Me, I am still very happy with the original LPGT both unbalanced and balanced. I think I will pass on the Titanium as a bit too rich for my blood. :)

Yes LPGT is a very good portable music player, but I would have preferred over the titanium a LPGT MK2, OLED screen, 4499 Eq and longer playback time and same 500 mW@32 ohm. Still enough for most headphones.

Yeah, was hoping for more substantial/interesting improvements. Doubt the sound will be much different than normal LPTG too.

Perhaps look at it this way. The LPGT Ti is a limited edition of the LPGT and as such not intended as a successor. It is a special version built using a more exclusive material that might not be suitable for general production, with a few tweaks here and there to push performance even further. It is for people who like a bit of exclusivity, a luxury item that is more refined than the regular LPGT. Once Lotoo come up with a successor to the LPGT, which I expect won’t be any time soon, it will be a significant step like they did with the LPG to LPGT. Lotoo does not do incremental steps with a new release every six months, nor do they go for flashy specs without substance. Rather, they take their time to do it thoroughly. So the Ti is really meant to be something special, not a regular release.

I found out earlier in the week there's a hi-fi expo here in Shanghai this weekend. Popped along today and got to hear the titanium version, without crazy queues either :)

It (and the original LPGT) was actually smaller than I expected - maybe I just expected A&K flagship size  I took a photo of the underside as I was surprised to see a full size SDXC card slot there, only to realize later the LPGT has that too.

But I'm afraid my impressions of the sound will be useless for most as I don't own the original LPGT to compare it to. What can I say other than the titanium sounded great, looked great, UI was nice and quick and being honest it's probably a step above the Mojo, Plenue S and M11 Pro, even though I enjoy all of those. Also it didn't seem that hot; it was warm but certainly I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been hotter given the near-continuous use it was being subjected to. So a good size, good sound and not too hot equals a win for a portable player in my books. The price though! :frowning2:

Oh yes ! Thanks !!
I also took a pic of it. The cable is a bit short though. However, apple’s default usb-c to lightening cable does NOT work and this Lotoo cable does.

Called up Andrew at MusicTeck last weekend. Apparently he has just received one LPGT (Ti) from Lotoo. Had a quick listen at his place (distance kept and masks wore). Not going to give detailed review unless i have it for long period of time, but it is very promising. Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming soon. This is going on the list!

Anyone ordered the paw gold touch titanium? what are the serial number you choose :L3000:?
I sent mine paw gold touch back to lotoo to repaier the volume knob and they finished replacement and shipped it back to me the next day they received it which is quite impressive. Now impatiently waiting for my paw gold touch back to me.
By the way I bought a new pillow of the paw gold to play with:beerchug:
