I will be using these headphones for music (rock, electronic, some ambient), gaming, and some movie-watching.  I was going to get the Audio Technica AD700 or AD900, but I worry about the reports of anemic bass.  I know that the AD series are open, and price-wise the 700s are a bit higher than the HARX900, so it is a bit of an apples to oranges comparison.

Obviously listening tastes are different and objective, but it seems that the HARX900 is a pretty solid 'starter' phone in journey to the insanity of the high-end headphone world.  Should I be looking at anything else?
