Hi Guys
I am in the process of performing some testing of VOIP over RF satellite communication, and I need to find a headset that has a high quality microphone. The quality of the headphones themselves are irrelevant, but I am sure they will be in relation to the quality of the mic. The catch is that I would like this to be USB driven (At least the mic part). I have looked at some Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser Broadcast stuff, but most of it is XLR condenser mics needing phantom power. We currently have a USB condenser mic for our audio input, which sounds really good and we are trying to replicate. My main concern with using analog, vice USB, is that I will be relying on the ADC in a laptop to perform the audio conversion.
Anyone have any recommendations?
