Hi,
 
I'm looking for headphones I can use to listen to music (and maybe some limited gaming, mainly music) when I'm working on the PC.
 
I need comfortable headphones for a couple of hours of use each day. I also want them to sound good, of course. I'm a real newbie at this and never had a good set of headphones.
I listened to Koss SportaPro which sounded nice, but seems really uncomfortable for long-time use.
I'm listening to all kinds of music, except maybe classical...
 
My budget is $60-$75.

You should do some research at the headroom site, they have a ranking system and reviews. You should take a look at the grado s60i's.

Forget about the grado's, they are uncomfortable.

You might be able to get some Senn HD555's for cheap now that they're discontinued. Great allrounders with almost unbeatable wearing comfort.

Audio Technica ATH-AD700 are supposed to be the best gaming headphones under $100. Add a mic for $15 and youre good to go!

Thanks for the info..! I don't want headphones that will warm my ears.. any of those recommended here are warming the ear after a hour or two of use ?

Open headphones like the HD555's and AD700's generally don't get as hot as closed ones, because of the open design your ears can get some fresh air.

Yes, open headphones let in almost all out side noise and if you try to drown it out you're going to start annoying people from you're music leaking.

 You do realise there are going to be some comprimises when your budget is around 75$?

Yep. I'm also willing to buy some good condition used headphones, if that's generally a good idea :|
