Seeing as my ATH-M50s recently broke

I am now in the market for new headphones perferably under 500 USD, closed back, very durable and one that would not need to be amped. I am looking a few options
  • PSB M4U 2
  • Denon AH-D2000
  • AKG K550
  • Ultrasone Pro 750
  • German Maestro GMP 8.35D

Any thoughts on these (or others I have yet to consider) would truly be appreciated. BTW I listen to mostly Electronic, Classical, Triphop and some rock/metal on occassion

Thanks guys!

I would certainly go for the denon, but with that budget if you shop around you can get the d5k and have a very nice upgrade over the d2k!!

Thank you! But I find it hard to get the d5k in my price range (and 500 is really pushing it) Maybe I will get the d2k and a nice amp :)

Okay, I see that you are not in the US. I got my d5k brand new from Electronic Expo for $385 shipped about two months ago.

gL!!
