Shure SRH840 has a detachable cable and should be a great headphone.

The Goldring NS1000 has a detachable cable and isolates well without Noise Reduction on. It can be had for about £60. An alternative is the AKG K271 which can be found for about £110.

The Equation RP-21 might also fit what you're looking for.

The Fostex T50RP are not appropriate for portable use.  They simply require too much power to be used from a portable source, and they only really shine if you're using an amp that drives a lot of juice into a low impedance load.

Unless you are really ready to commit to them, you would probably be better off with something a bit more conventional.  Not that they aren't great.

Shure SRH750DJ also has a detachable cable, and the SQ is spectacular.
