Hey everyone,
I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 280 pro headphones, and I've notice that the bass seems low when listening through my iphone, and is also a bit quieter when listening through my computer. I was wondering if anyone here has a good recommendation for portable headphone amps, for both my computer and iPhone?
Thanks.

Might be better to sell off the Senn HD280 and put all your budget for new headphones.

Really? I had heard that they were exceptionally good headphones, which is why I bought them.

Fiio E11 or PAV2V (Pocket Amplifier 2 Version 2) headphone amplifier should easily drive the HD280 headphone.

HD-280 Pros are great. Closed drivers naturally diminish perceived bass response, so they sound even better with bass boost. This is true of most closed sets (not just HD-280's).

So, make sure the amp you choose has bass boost.

Sony PHA-1 for $350, great mid range DAC/AMP for PC/MAC and iDevices.

Thank's everyone for the responses, for now I think i'll look into getting something cheaper, so the stuff that you suggested Purple is helpful. Down the road, i'll look into getting something more expensive. Thanks again.
