Little dot mkIII v. Phenix G3(earmax clone)

I can't decide on which to get. the little dot is a bit more expensive but also puts out more power and has outputs.  I would be using the amp i choose with beyerdynamic 600 ohm dt990's or dt880's(haven't made a decision on those either).  I've heard the Phenix pairs really well with the beyer's. Does anyone know if the same is true for the little dot? thanks for the help

My MKiii sounds great! They make my 701's come to life a little bit more. also they're pretty popular so if you look around on the for sale forums you can usually find a really good deal. I don't have much experience with amps but really I couldn't have expected anymore out of it.

I can't comment on the other amp but I can with satisfaction say that the Little Dot MK III is a great amp. I use it to drive my AKG 702s. I've heard tube amps work better with higher impendence headphones such as yours and so I think it would be a great fit for you. Plus if you ever want to use it as a pre amp it has the option, not to mention the tons of tube rolling options you have with this amp.
