Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling

Good - I see that you haven't yet been bitten by the tube rolling bug! It is very dangerous and results in buying more and more tubes - it never ends. In any event, when I owned the LD MKIII the EI tubes were among the top performers.

30-50 hours of burn in is normal, but some tubes can take much longer. I remember reading that the Voskhod tubes need 120 hours to sound their best.
yet … 😏

This thread looks DEAD, but i will try, Mark 3 vs Mark 2 which is a better sounding amp ?, This thread has 227 pages, the Mark 2 has 888, is that any indication ?
It really depends on the Impedance of the headphones. The II will work best with low impedance cans, and the III was voiced with Senheisser HD-600/650 headphones. What do you use?

Hi,

Is it possible to use 6SN7 as driver tubes in the Little Dot Mk3?
If yes, what do I need and which jumper setting do I need?

Thank you in advance for an answer!

As I recall you cannot use 6SN7 tubes as drivers in the Little Dot MKIII because they draw 0.6A each and the combined 1.2A exceeds the allowable current draw for drivers in the LD MKIII.
