American Beauty O.S.T.

I've heard this sound really bad and really good.
The bass can be wonky and there can be a lot of sibilance, or it can sound clean and strong.

Would anybody recommend the Ultrasone CD???

I use a JVC remastered Mozart Divertimenti with St. Martin in the Fields to check the general tone character like treble extension and bass impact.

Instrument separation, various Kitaro albums and La Folia by Jordi Savall.

I try not to use the most awesome and audiophile CDs, because they sound too good on almost all systems, and the general tone of my audiophile jazz CDs suffer very little distortion in a wide range of headphones/amps/sources.

Tool - Lateralus

Excellent for about everything if you need to test your phones from 1000 Hz down : fast, complex, punchy bass, clean vocals, dark tones, quick bass lines.
