Light Harmonic Geek Wave

I got my money back without a problem.

Gina contacted me to tell me that my Wave 32 will not be produced and suggested me a 100$ upgrade to Wave 64 with many "free" extras. As I am not interested in a DAP anymore and thus don't want to spend more money on that, I asked her to cancel my Wave 32 order completely. I got my money back on the same day through paypal.
Gina replied very fast and kind to my emails.
The next order I want to cancel now is this damn Verb IEM, don't know why on earth I ordered that. However I am afraid that won't be possible as the Verb is still produced. I guess that refunds are only possible for products that are not being produced by them anymore, thus if you refuse to upgrade, what else can they do than refund the money back?

I wish I could cancel all 3 of my orders - have no idea when any of them will turn - they will probably mark them all as 99 percent delivered and I will remain in the supposedly 1 percent of undelivered.

But you are not allowed to cancel any orders even if they take 5 years to ship.

Anyway cant be bothered to chase them anymore - I will just write my $550 off as a lesson learned

I'm sure we will get a great-sounding product in our hands based on what I've read about the V2. How LH reaches point A to point B certainly leaves a lot to be desired, but I have a lot of faith in Larry, who has been doing more of the updates and the most recent one was excellent. I may be hallucinating, but I swear that I can see the finish line for this thing. If you disagree, leave me to my illusions - it beats the hell out of all the hand-wringing I've done!

Thankfully - I didn't click the 'enron upgrade option'

Anyway will un-sub from this thread and check once a year to see if any products shipping.

I'm sure this product will be released at some point. It may take a while, but I have a feeling it will be worth the wait.

I don't doubt at this point LH Labs will have a Wave out at some point, even expect it to be fabulous sounding! Just, the process...

Also, how will it perform against the DAPs that come out when the Wave finally ships?  It might be competitive now vs the DX90/X5, but with iBasso and FiiO releasing new DAPs soon... I dont know.

I don't think they'll have any problem with sound. The DX100 is still quite competitive sound-wise even though many have been released in its wake. I think it's a question of whether its features will be eclipsed or not. It will be out in the next 6-9 months at the latest (pure speculation), so I'm pretty confident nobody will be revolutionizing the portable dap before then.

I'm a believer in the Femto clock, Larry does great with gear built around this from what I gather. Just a question of figuring out the details of implementing in this environment (for the versions that have it, of course).
