Yeah really. I signed up for this perk and that perk on multiple devices. I'm all perked out! No more perks for me...just send me the damn stuff. What a lesson.

Hmmm, seen that somewhere before...

Yep of all the campaigns the geek wave one was probably the worst run.

They've been doing it, and continue to do it - Early backers have definitely overpaid, and despite all our clamoring, and some promises to address it, nothing at all has been done.

I give up.

Even though i got 2 waves - one 64 and one decked out xd128, i gave up waiting and got myself a Fiio X5 2nd gen yesterday

It'll definitely good you until a Wave comes...went with the Pono myself, really nice player (but, you know, the Geek Out Special Edition sounds better...)

I already said before that the right thing to do would be to also offer the option to go to a wave flex or whatever the Wave that has no internal memory is called at no extra cost.

Also a refund. But that is supposedly impossible because of indiegogo (but of course that is rubbish - what indiegogo terms of use say is that indiegogo cant refund, which is true because they no longer have the money but there is nothing to stop the campaign owner from refunding if they cannot deliver).

+1

I am not sending any more money to lh.  They should at least give folks the option to go with the flex, which is less featured.

But, while there are no waves, this matters very little.

Honestly, I was really tempted to get on the ship for one of these but after going through the pulse experience, I think I would rather wait for the actual product to come out before purchasing it if I can help it since I'm not sure what to expect from it. I mean, are there even any photos of what the casing would look like? And does anyone happen to know the estimated date of completion for the wave?

You can sort of see the case on the indiegogo page:

ETA is 1Q 2016, but that's not set in stone - could come earlier, could come later.

Didn't Gavin say 4Q 2015?

In his recent email update it said "Shipments will happen in Q4 of this year."

Might make sense to discount this some though, so that might be your calculus.

Cheers

That is what it said, but I'll believe it when I see it!

I should've added the caveat about it being my prediction rather than what they've said publicly. I think my estimate is reasonable.

They don't really tell us much and I have not been following as closely as I once did... but they have not said this was the final design. At least as of the last I checked. They still had not decided how big the screen is going to be.

Sounds like to me that LH Labs still does not even have a basic (like Geek Wave 64) functioning prototype yet...  I mean one that can be turned on and all by ITSELF convert an MP3 file into listenable audio.....  And it has been a year since the basic Indigogo campaign ended.....OOOOF!
