Nope. Did they say it would be shipping on time or something?

Ouch lol. I no longer bother reading lh emails. Other than the survey, it's been pointless information.

The latest IGG Update for Geek Stream states: "4) And we include two major LH Labs' digital modes too. You could switch on the fly by press a button. FRM and TCM! " I've perked for the "Femto Clock x 2" for $139. Therefore shouldn't the stream also take advantage of the FTM filter? I have the Pulse Xfi and I myself, including many others, prefer this filter over the others.  So it would be nice if this filter was included..

The GO SE doesn't have the FTM filter and I think reasoning was due to available resources. I doubt the Stream will have FTM since it wasn't mentioned by name.

I don't think the FTM filter was developed at the time of the Geek Out SE release. As far as resources, yes I believe it would be limited but as I mentioned several Pulse users have stated that the FTM filter was preferred so I would hope LHL would choose to include it over the others.

Since TCM and FRM were added to the GO in place of the 3D crossfeed I would think that the FTM could be added to the SE in a future firmware update. There's only about 24 GO SE in the wild so the firmware could simply be emailed to each owner for installation. I'd love to have the FTM on my GO because I hear it's the favorite for many Xfi owners.

It took me a while to figure out that this was just a terrible April Fool's email. Here it is, slightly redacted:

Dear XXXXX,

Thanks for your patience. Here is the final list/ or new features we will give out without any additional cost to you.

Here is the features list.

1) You will have the new ES9018AQ2M DAC IC. The best one and newest from ESS technology

2) You will have analog gain switch to let you select different output wattage. One setting at 100mW for IEM, one setting at 450mW which is even better than originally planed 320mW.

3) For Signature Edition, you will have special matched passive components and better THD package.

4) And we include two major LH Labs' digital modes too. You could switch on the fly by press a button. FRM and TCM!

5) Well... there are many other improvements you will find out when you get it. Hint: 3D printed chassis with air flow control and none-parallel wall.

Actually, Geek Stream will be our top level of new portable DACs.

I'm very excited to share this news with you.

Thank you,

Larry

Yeah, I think that was the white unit with the different colored lights they had at the CanJam - nothing about it seems like a joke.

What if I told you Stream and GO2 are more related than you might think.....

I'd say that makes perfect sense because both are originally based on the GO 1.0 design and have evolved since then. Of course they'd be siblings and have a shared design. That helps keep down costs and also serves to keep production time lower.

Until I have a Geek Wave in my hand, it goes in one ear and out the other.

You know that putting pills in your ears is really dangerous - they could get stuck...
