Hello everyone,

the original charger from v40 is 5V - 1.8A.
Can I use power bank which is 5V - 2.1 and 5V - 1.0a
Or somethink faster like charger from Huawei P20 which is 5V - 2A, 4.5V - 5A or 5V - 4.5A

regards,
Simon
Yes, you can.
The battery management system takes what it needs.
Make sure you're using 5V input.

Note:
The slower the better for longevity.

Hello!
me again...
when I Had wm1a I charge it to 90% and not discharge it less than 20%.
What about v40 battery? will be this ok too for V40?

thank you

regards,
Simon
Yes.
You're on the right track.
Wished there was something like an automatism to force these charging states.

The V30 enables the aux mode automatically when connected to a > 800ohm device or a non connected cable.
If you want to benefit of 2V output you've to trigger it to high gain mode.

Is this the same with V40?

regards,
Simon

I love V40.
Very good sound. Even though I currently only have the Sennheiser CX 300 II headset :slight_frown:
Thanks to everyone for the recommendations.

regards,
Simon

An amp has higher input imp than 800ohm typically.
In this case, the aux mode will be active.

This counts for V50 also.

Do you recomend a android 9.0 (pie)?
Or I leave it on 8.1?

regards,
Simon
Got no issues with android 9 on V30.
Don't know how it affects the V40.

It's been almost 3 months since I got a v40 and went on Tidal Hi-Res. I've listened to the HD-600 and HEX v2 (with LG set for highest power), then mostly went with my desktop: Gumby & Rag 1. I even re-ran my seldom used DAP's for more of a contrast. I keep reading how great the Sabre chip is in the v40 - most here say it. Is it because you don't have/use desktops? Or is really a matter of being portable and not yoked to a desktop?

Because I find that in no way does the LG/Sabre/internal amp a credible match for my Gumby/Rag 1.

I do miss the comparison with your dap in that writing.
For a mobile AIO, the dac and amp in the V-series is the best to date.
Of course, there's a hugh hstep up with a desktop system, noone's question this.
At least, it belongs to the headphone you throw in the ring, i think.
All my headphones, except my iems, sounds better out of my desk system. No wonder why this is happen.

In your case, the HD600 needs way more than 2v output voltage to shine, while the Hex needs more current to best.
The amp on the V-series isn't capable to deliver such swings.

On the other hand, the dac is superb. :beerchug:
