Opportunity PM-3 have great synergy with the V30. Perhaps used.
I wish I could demo these. I'm concerned they may not be lively enough for me. I've read quite a few reviews that in a nut shell, state they are boring.
So throughout this thread, the majority say this phone doesn't have quite enough power to bring out the best in the HE4XX - It won't get quite loud enough. But, every now and again someone will come along (see 5 posts down), and says it will drive them to uncomfortable levels. So I guess if I truly want to know if it works for me, I'll need to employ the buy and try method.

Dx-200 has two sabre. i think is 9028. about volume dx-200 has separate amplifier with 3V in single ended and 6v in balanced, so much more volume, no doubt

Speaking of planar headphones, has anyone "successfully" tried Mr Speakers Aeon Flow Closed with the v30?

THe 11ohm impedance is encouraging...the 93db sensitivity is not. Sure seems like these would need a more robust amp...thoughts?

I have the HE-400i and the v30 is not up to driving them even in Aux mode. Regarding the v30 PM-3 synergy: Yes the PM-3 is a bit subdued in the upper frequencies, but the treble detail and energy of the v30 really balances that out. YMMV.

Im trying to consolidate gear. Although ive heard really good things here about the V30 im a bit skeptical on it being to stack up against the dx200. To those who have side by side compared v30 to the dx200 or any other similar mid-high end DAPs how does it compare in terms of soundstage and resolution?

V30 cannot even come close to Zx300, let alone dx200. Yes I used all of them and v30 is still my main phone.

With that said, if you are looking to consolidate gear, v30 is the best one you can buy that is all for one

I have to add another good synergy with the V30 is the RBH HP -2 "beryllium" headphones, kind of a poor man's Utopia wity plenty of power supplied by the phone. I picked a pair up for a very good price and closed off one of the ports to tame the potent bass . After doing that, I have to agree Z-reviews glowing take and I am really really rather impressed with these things. And that connecting cord really is an absolute masterpiece just like Z said.
