LG V20 Sound Quality

I have, but the phone's settings didn't change nor did I gain any value
I believe gordec is just wanting to know if someone has found a case for the V20 that the IEMatch will fit through and if so what case that would be.

Oh, I'm sorry. I'll experiment more.

Haha. Sorry about that. Iematch works well to take away all hissing from ES60 without changing SQ. I'm not sure why Ifi made the plug so big.

That's my own experience and to my own knowledge. The IEmatch that I have purchased and connected degraded SQ out of the hi res files i've been playing for days over the V20 drastically.

My iems were shure se846

It may sound better on different iems but this.

Yeah. I've had that happen, but I don't really use my H3's that much. Mostly use my CIEM, Empire Ears Spartan-IV ADEL with MAM module.

Did you have them replaced? I'd like to give them to the wife, but I'd rather not hear complaints of the static when twisting the connector.

No, I didn't have them replaced It doesn't do it that often, only if I'm purposely trying to make it happen by twisting it around.

Ok. These do it the least out of my others. I guess I'll just hang on to these. If it gets to be an irritation, I'll swap ends on it.

Just recieved an update for my T-Mobile LG V20 one of the notes in the update included an "Audio quality patch"

Gonna check what this means exactly as soon as the update is done.

,,...Finally, I went “high-end” and borrowed a pair of Sennheiser HD 800 (~$1,400) and an Astell & Kern AK240 SS HiFi music player (~3,000). With the HD 800 headphones, I compared the LG V20

with that $3400 player: no perceptible difference in quality. If you take away one thing about this article, that should be it...,,

I love my v20. I wonder if you can tell a difference between AK and the v20 if you line out to a desktop quality amp. I feel that the amp section in either player can do HD800 justice, so you may not be able to hear any difference because the HD800 is not driven to its potential.

  Thanks for your help Bro.!

But I was intending of using a portable USB DAC to its USB-C connector NOT getting more power output on its 3.5mm connector..

Like this setup of mine on my old Note 3. But anyway thanks!

YW!

Oh ok. But with my suggestion, you would have less stuff to lug around, and could sell the DAP. lol But it's up to you. Everyone has their own preference.

Even with V10, I think there's no difference as well. DAPs are expensive not because of their SQ.

i am listening to v20, and comparing it fiio x7, well with all honesty now after giving the v20 more play time, i can say it it is better than my fiio x7, especially with usb audio player, whether usb audio down samples or whatever, it sounds best, and having the parametric eq is amazing, this the only time i prefer usb audio over neutron which also has parametric eq

lg v20 vs fiio x7 with am2a amp using ibasso it03 iem

v20: bigger wider sound stage than x7
mids more full and body than x7, and that is so obvious from comparing both, i could not tolerate the mids on fiio x7 anymore
bass more impact than x7

I use Hifiman HE-400i planar phones.
The V20 cannot drive these but I use an Opus #11 with them and the sound is incredible. I also enjoy UAPP which the developer released a patch as it did not cater for the V20.
I never use EQ but the lifting the bass slightly provides a clear boost without any muddiness or boom.
