Never heard Fidelio X2, but K712 and HD600 will be the most neutral of the lot. hd600 will probably win on soundstage. hd650 will win on bass and fun sound but is less natural than the hd600. I would go for the k712 personally but again I have never heard the X2 and don't know what it is like.

I've never found the V10 to suffer from having the Snapdragon 808. It's more than adequate for daily use, but then again I don't play any CPU intensive games.

Agreed. Nothing wrong with the 808 (no lag on my V10).

Was just referring to all the posts a year ago from people who passed on the V10 because of the 808. They had no other reason than wanting the latest and 'greatest.'

It can't be forgotten the 808 is kind of a power hog though. ~0.3mA current with ESS DAC off, ~0.6mA with ESS DAC turned on. You can plug into a normal 500mA USB port and keep the DAC off and the battery will remain more or less at the same level when you plugged it in. If the ESS DAC is on it could actually be losing power. I bought a qualcomm certified fast charger after getting my V10 because the damn thing is such a power hog. I love it though.

The charger that comes with the V10 is a quick charger.

Makes sense.... even a normal 2A charger is kind of slow on the V10.
I bought mine used though so I had to supply my own charger and cables (had plenty of both but didn't realize how much power this thing can eat)
I still love it though. I will probably get a new replacement battery sooner or later.

I just checked on Ampere app, with music playing through stock headphones, and pretty loud volumes, 200ma to 280ma with a 600ma burst for 5 sec as the app opened, and things settled down.with screen on, hi-fi DAC on and music playing. On this phone.

I can get about 6 hours screen on time, which to me use decent, with music going more like 3 to 4.
But I have a spare battery in my pocket,(0 to 100%in 5 sec) which is a the best thing since sliced bread..

I use stock batteries from Korea, they come in a sealed box, and cost a lot, although they work well, I wouldn't recommend after market or open boxed batteries that are cheap.

(You get what you pay for, could be dangerous if it's a copy.)

They will not perform well, like the original one. And could damage your phone's charging circuit.

wanted to double check before maybe buying one of these because i only skimmed threw the first 10 or so pages..

does the DAC work when using Spotify, Pandora and whatever other websites and Apps? it seems like the answer is inconclusive. thanks.

i play games, watch youtube, etc with ESS DAC activated when i use headphones.
is not app specific.

On Marshmallow (or using the Dac Fix app on Android 5) the internal dac and amp should work with everything including all music apps and streaming. Think V10 was first with that capability.

I can personally confirm it works with UAPP, Poweramp, Neutron Player, HibyMusic, Onkyo HF Player, Jet Audio, and Pandora.
