LG V10 : New ESS Chipped Flagship Android Phone from LG

Honestly,  Celluar data wise go with tMobile, cheapest price per GB

about the phone though I will say after a month of Heavy use... the 3.5mm Jack in mine died :/ I had to warrenty it, sound is great but durability is far below that of any of the Hifiman HM Daps I've had in the past

while it's MUCH better UI wise than my HM901, the $1000 dap is still better built so that's to be expected I suppose though honestly, for on the go with neutron parametric EQ this phone is really a great solution for portable rigs! Ofc my transportable hm901LINEOUTpb2 sounds better, but that involved me lugging around my Full Sized cans an walking a little funny

the HD 25 or my Solo2s sound great right out of the phone

I am still grandfathered in the old unlimited data plan that was 29.99 from way back.   You can't get it anymore and if you're not careful then you will lose it forever.  There are less than 1% of Verizon customers still on it.  You can't get a 29.99 or 49.99 unlimited plan anymore.

I got my contracted extended through Best Buy which allowed me to lock in the 29.99 unlimited rate for another 2 years.

The monthly plan is without a contract.  You're paying the $11 or $24 a month but it doesn't extend your contract or count as an upgrade.

Yeah, that price doesn't work anymore...
The only way to pay only 29 dollars a month for unlimited usage is using a prepaid phone companies such as Virgin Mobile.. they offer 35 dollars a month unlimited plan without a contract. But, they don't offer many phones. Most of the phones they have are cheap $100 phones without many features.

A good news for you guys:
I have confirmed with Zerolemon that LG V10 9,000mAh battery case is coming very soon...
You will get 60 hours of hi-fi music out of this battery case!
In some ways V10 is behind DAPs but all DAPs besides Sony DAPs have less than 6-7 hours of playing time. AK240 and DX100 last even less than 4-5 hours.

Oh snap that's pretty boss! Is that also a Qi charging back too?

I requested quick charge feature to them. They said they will talk with their tech department to implement it.

The Zerolemon LG V10 9,000mAh case has enough room for an SD card too. If you have a microSD to SD adapter and a 512GB SD card, you can put them inside this case to extend V10's storage.

Hi guys,
I got the V10 and I love it, but I need some advice please, I use AIFF files for my players but they won't work on the V10, so I convert them to wave files and now I can play them on my V10, but I don't have the tags.

Is there a way to play my original AIFF files on the V10?
if is not possible, how can I tag my wave files?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to reply.

I just installed a $5 wireless charging sticker tonight. A bit nervous removing the factory nfc sticker but nice to have wireless charging again (wish LG would've included it but guess we can't have everything). Nfc still works although I hardly ever use it.

Been checking out Zerolemon's other cases since you mentioned they might make one for the V10. Lot more bulk but my V10 is already big with the otterbox so a little more probably won't matter. If they can include Qi charging too even better (doubt nfc will make the cut similar to their other cases).

Zerolemon prices seem pretty good too (especially compared to expensive Mugen batteries). Roughly same price as otterbox but battery included.

Any idea when the V10 version gets released?

such a pity that only the Internal player able to "drive" the DAC to playback HiRes sound files in a native way.
If you use third party player apps, it will just sound as normal.

Zerolemon has created this 10,000mAh case for Note 4. I think V10 9,000mAh case will look similar.
I don't know about exact release date yet. They told me it's nearly ready for release... let's give them few weeks.
I'm also requesting 12,000mAh V10 case to Zerolemon.

It's possible to modify this Note 4 10,000mAh case with a 512GB SD card.

You will be able to do the same for V10 case. They said they left room for SD card mod.

Here's their facebook page. They indeed respond to messages within an hour. Please request them 12,000mAh V10 battery case with quick charge feature. It's possible to make a small 12,000mAh battery case with current technology.

Are they going to release 2 different versions for the V10 (9000 and 12000mAh)?

If they're out soon I may get one and return my otterbox. The extra battery would come in handy when using the camera too. All that with a half terabyte SD mode would be insane!

They have only 9,000mAh so far. I'm requesting them a 12,000mAh version with quick charge and a built-in SD card slot.
Please request this version so maybe they will make it happen...

Yup, had to lock it in for another 2yrs before paying $49.99. Had to, with as much data as my family uses. Don't know why they won't just leave us alone... When we only make up less than 1% of their subscribers.

PNY 512GB SD card is $250 now. It's officially the cheapest 512GB SD card. You can try this with V10 9,000mAh case.
PNY 256GB SD card inside my 10,000mAh Note 4 case works fine. It streams FLAC files well to USB DAC.

One word:
Flac

Flac uses the standard id3 tags with the same bit per bit sound production of wav with less space.
24b 96k flac music files are fairly standard nowadays, I have been buying my music in either flac or wav and ripping to flac then adding my own id3 tags.

I would argue that the amp in the v10 is not yet compatible with Tidal. I can hear the dac kick in but the amp won't help. I've tested this with my hd650 and bose qc25. Meanwhile in LGs Music app the amp and dac work perfectly with both headphones.
