Wow cool-I have a download and im not sure if its a remaster etc.
i think its amazing and will go into my top 50 of all time.i didnt immediately GET it but it grows on you.

And the LP, reel-to-reel, cassette and even the 8-track tape. top 10 all-time for me, and it does have a couple of "metal moments", and the first representation of growl vocals I can think of.

YES M8 the growl vocals are the first death metal vocals imho-i think this will get into the top 10 to be honest.when you say i was responding to the original-what do u mean please

That era in America was wild. The movie was just so over the top. People getting sick and fainting. The music also seemed to have an evil to it. It may only be by association, I don't know. It was the first hit record for the new label Virgin and became the cornerstone of early success. I the first pressings are audiophile grade stuff.

Oldfield re-recorded it in 2013, note-for-note. It's literally a different recording, on different equipment.

Being about 10 or 11 when it came out, it definitely had an impact even for those of us who (couldn't) see it. I was far too young, and my parents far too straight and protective.
