Lets Talk Metal

LOL, that was a funny quiz, and I got 20/20! I was proud of myself for all of 15 seconds.

This past week, I was able to catch The Faceless and The Contortionist at Seattle. Man, that was an interesting show,...

Mainly because everything was going wrong for Michael Keene on The Faceless's set. His guitar just would not work, and he missed a good chunk of his solos. I felt so bad for the guy, he was so pissed. You can see some of it happening in this video, but it was going wrong for about half the set. I was almost sure he was going to stomp off stage, but the guy made through it.

New project with drums by Johnny King formally of Altar of Plagues:

This sounds awesome, though maybe a bit archetypal. Nonetheless, talk about quick rebound for him!

They've been lurking in the shadows apparently since earlier this year but I just found out about the project last week.  Their early demo recordings sound promising...  Archetypal yes, but it's a sound I like so it works for me

Guys, I am in thrash overload...literally....

New Toxic Holocaust

New Warbringer

New Skeletonwitch

Have all three albums on my playlist for review soon.

I'm on a Thrash run too! Check out the walking bass at the 31 second mark. I totally love this song!

Eagerly awaiting! I thought it was a full-length studio album, though. That would be really long for an EP.

The new Skeletonwitch is going to be great but I have a bias...my GF has been good friends with Scott since college lol.  We catch them EVERY time they tour though DC.  Ever since Breathing the Fire he's sent us a copy of their latest album a week or two before the release date so I'm eagerly watching the mailbox

Yeah, Eremita is his best work yet. I'm ready for some more brutal saxophone.

Definitely interested in new Ihsahn....thanks for the heads up.... his name drives me crazy, tho. Anytime I type his name I have to think twice about where the freaking H's go...very counter intuitive in
English :)

looking through budget CDs at Bes Buys...pleasant surprise to find Carcass Surgical Steel....for like $9.00. Doh!

You guys were right. It's killer....poor choice of words.

I believe THAT will be the great rip my jugular DM release I'd been wanting to hear this year

Gorguts sounds like it's pretty good, too.
