Went to a "metal" concert over the weekend. I'm not metal head per se(I like some bands) but it thought it was funny because there were a bunch of "metal" bands (avatar, hellyeah, nonpoint) but the headliner was 3 days Grace O.o
Just wanted to get yalls opinion on that lol

Well, this thread has tonnns of great death metal and black metal. Here is an old post with a list of many of the metal bands I like:

Akercocke is one band I love but never seem to listen to. I'm going to make an effort to listen to them a lot today.

THX for reminding me. Always wonder if they will get back together again. They are kind of like Led Zeppelin as each member was like a be a virtuoso.

I think the problem is someone stealing the riffs as their own.

If that is the case, you would think that the phone could be turned off remotely or something like FIND MY PHONE could be put into use. Two of my friends have got their iPhones back by informing the scum bag new owner that the phone will brick up soon. Another time the phone was tracked to a man at a hotel poolside. Amazingly both times the phones were left on so the original owner just dialed the number and retrieved the phone. In one instance the phone was left on a motorcycle in public, in another instance the phone was grabbed out of the perpetrators bag!

Nice. I own most of their albums, so I always give them another chance.

Blackwater Park is an Opeth album. I had no idea it was also a band.

The album is named after the band.

Yeah.  You can learn a lot about obscure Prog reading Michael/Opeth interviews!

Also about life! =D

I remember reading an Opeth interview where he talked about how metal musicians/vocalists are such kind, gentle people because they vent their frustrations through their music...and on the other hand, happy-go-lucky pop bands will beat you up! haha...

I also remember him mentioning that singing is actually harder on his vocal cords than growling is!

Just bought the new A Forest of Stars album called Beware of the Sword You Cannot See off of bandcamp. Impulse buy because it showed up on my feed and the album had an awesome cover. Great album so far.

It's preeeeety good. On par with their last one, I would say.

I haven't seen these guys posted here yet. Pretty cool vocals.

I liked it much better than their last one, actually.
