Thou shalt NEVER bump a thread with the message of "Sold"!

Anybody else have this as a "pet peeve"? For me, it's more a psychotic ****ing hatred!

I personally find "PM'ed", "YGPM" and similar messages far more annoying. As if the OP will not notice any PMs considering the pop-up nature of PM notifications.

I think a much more prudent rule would be making sure that "Sold" is put into the subject line after the item sells.

I only mind the bump from a "sold" post if the subject line doesn't also say that, so I can ignore it.

I've always seen that as more of a courtesy to other potential buyers....

When you get approximately 2.7 billion PMs from some sales, it's a lot easier to do that to let people know it's sold than to try to keep track of all the PMs and tell each person individually. Just editing the original post will still leave it buried, so the people more likely to send countless PMs are less likely to actually see it.
